If your switches still work, but your Ferrari or Maserati windows won't fully raise or lower, it is possible the window regulator inside the door has failed. For most modern models, the window motor itself is an integral part of the regulator and not individually replaceable. A window regulator doesn't need any maintenance or adjustment. If it fails, the failed part or the whole unit should be replaced. A broken window regulator cable can cause the window to seize or drop down inside the door. Worn or stretched cables can contribute to irregular movement of the window glass and may cause a grinding or scratching noise.
